I don't know that there is solid test results but it is the general consensus that it leaks a little boost, stock. The valve seat quality is not the best and I think that is part of it. I think a MBC at 19 can actually leak since the valve really only sees 16 normally and the 19 is a surge but you couldn't tell if the drop off is part valve leak or all boost controller. If that made sense.

I run 21 psi, just put on a 1g uncrushed with the dejon tool kit and a turbo xs adapter flange, this set up f'in RAWKS, I am really pleased, as for those of you looking into the forge you also have another option at just about the same price, the Tomei 4G63 performance blow-off valve, it can be had for $155 in cluding freight from www.singhiaphin.com, just shoot the sales manager Danny Lee an email at danny@singhiaphin.com. I was going to save up for this before I got a killer deal on my 1g with Dejon leak stop kit. Btw, porcupine uses this on his Evolution VII RSII EuroSpec and from what I understand, Tomei is a very respectable brand.

because it feels weak, car feels stronger now, doesn't stumble at parking lot speeds like it used to, boost response is sharper, doesn't feel as cushy as it used to, just something you have to feel to understand I guess, has been stated that the stock works fine but I probably not go back to stock unless this set up fails in some way but I don't think it will, just trying to share that an old dsm mod works wonders on the new evo's, not trying to convert anyone's train of thought in any way.

Yeah that was also one of my options, have heard good things about them, gave Stratmosphere a call and they said the unit would be out right around Thanksgiving time for a price around $150 to $170. If I had had $150 in my budget for a bov I probably would have gone with either the Stratmosphere or the Tomei.

Here is some info from the site:

"Unique features with the HyperBoost valve:

Finned "heat-sink" body that facilitates heat dissipation, keeping your valve cool.
TeflonTM impregnated piston for the most accurate and consistent action available while promoting long life.
Flash Silver (see above photo) is nickel-plated entirely for durability and then anodized for further durability and appearance.
Utilizes larger VitonTM brand o-rings for increased piston seal to insure leak-proof operation.
Internal parts are lubricated with Mobil 1TM synthetic grease, the best you can buy.
Connection nozzles are machined to OEM/BoschTM dimensions.
O-ring sealed cap for positive locking and a leak-proof seal."

those strat valves are a smaller diameter then your OEM valve, so maybe not a good option unless they sell a larger version

Greddy Type S or Forge are not much more.
