Boost Leak Around Fuel Injectors

I finally got around to doing a boost leak test on my nearly stock 04' Evo VIII and found two boost leaks. One is the stock plastic DV is leaking and the other all four fuel injectors are leaking were they go into intake maifold. Is this a common issue and does any buddy know an easy fix for this. My car has been sitting for about two weeks so it is cool I was just wondering if they seal up when the engine warms up and if all of them do this Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I bought the car stock it even still had the spacers in the front springs so I do not believe the injectors have been changed or replaced. It looks like I will have to replace the o-rings because it is a pretty big leak surprising no smell of fuel.

there is a chance the injectors were swapped out at one point and then swapped back to stock and as a result they aren't seated correctly. Regardless of what happened before they shouldn't be leaking.

Luckly replacing the O-rings is pretty simple and should fix the leak. I had the same problem a little while ago and it worked for me.

good luck.

The o ring stops the injector from leaking fuel I think it is the injector seat that fits into the head that may be damaged.

Our injectors seat into the intake manifold just before the head. Good call on checking the injector seats though.

Can the injector seats be replaced with the intake on the head or is this a more complocated R/R were you need to remove the intake manifold?

It can all be done with the intake on the head.

You can go to the hardware store and stack a 1/16" O ring of the proper diameter on the injector tip before it seats into the seal in the head. They tend to harden and shrink over time causing a gap and this fixes it.
