Do a compression check you could be gettting some bad blow by and if that is the case. You'll be needing a rebuild due to worn out rings. How often do you have to add oil and much oil do you lose?

A compression check cannot properly diagnose the problem. It will just tell you there is a problem. In order to find the problem you have to do a leak down test. The leak down test will let you know if it is head gasket, exhaust valve, intake valve, or blowby the piston rings. Do not diagnose an engine on a compression test alone.

did you check the coolant? Drain it and see if there is alot of oil in there. When you get a bad headgasket, you either get oil in your coolant, or coolant in your oil. Since you are blowing out white smoke, it would be oil in the coolant.
