Best cams for the $!!?!

My 57 trim should be in next week, hopefully. Thank you ETS TOM!

Whats the best cams for my application? 272's seem to be the poison of choice.

I've seen a pair of Crower cams on ebay for $300+. So for the bang for the buck, is that my best bet?

You listed it. The 272s will work lovely with your 57 trim.

Otherwise, the next best thing would be GSC cams. They are at least another $100 more than the BCs. Bunch of vendors carry em here, so dont get those on eBay.

i love my gsc s1's but if i were doing it with a bigger turbo i would maybe try and get something more aggressive... maybe some revolvers or some jun 264's might work, pm a vendor. cant go wrong with the gsc s1's for $500 though

272/272 perhaps would be a good choice. When I had my Evo 8 MR I put a set of HKS 264/264 which I paid $525 shipped, then I bought a set of Buddyclub 272/272 for a smoking deal of $375 brand new to my door.

I recently purchased a set of Forced Performance FPII cams ( same set up as 272/272s) for my Eclipse for only $440 shipped. You might want to check with Forced Performance because they might have a good deal on cams.

My .2c

GSC S1's. These will be the best cam of choice until you crest over 500 whp. When people say "272", that's too generic. Who's "272"? They are not all created equal. Regardless, the "272's" that make good peak, high rpm power give up a lot of low/mid range. the "272's" that make good low/mid range power give it up on the top end. The S1's have the best of both worlds, and would be your best bet.

Get the Helix hollow V2 272s. They perform like the HKS 272s, are hollow/lighter, are made from billet, and are very cheap. I bought them for my VIII and loved them.

I have the HKS 272s with my ETS 57 trim kit . Dont forget camgears. Give Tom a call at ETS, he should be able to give you a great deal . I think he even might have them in stock.
