Has your TurboSmart BOV quit working?
Mine did. I don't really remember when because I don't drive my car very often, but 2 of my friends have the same one and when I heard them driving near me I noticed mine and another of my friends quit qorking.
It is recirc with a trumpet for VTA. When I shift I don't hear it anymore and it used to be really loud. I took it apart and cleaned it as the manual said, but still nothing. We did the same to my friends and his still doesn't work either.
Well today it finally worked, but only in the 2nd to 3rd shift around 20psi or higher. I tried all the other gears, only 2nd!
Has anyone else had this problem? This seems really weird to me. Some help please

Yes, I did lubricate. The problem was the vacuum line I was using for over a year decided that it was too small and was restricting the air needed for it to work. I got a bigger one, bypassed the metal line next to the valve cover and problem solved.
Thanks for reading.

I like the BOV just fine. I have the blue top(non-evo specific) and my buddies have the red top(evo specific) and there is no difference. The blue one is a little harder to install on the factory hose, but it can be done. Drivabilityis nice and it holds boost really well.
I fixed my problem. For some reason the vacuum hose I used for it was too small and didin't allow enough air for it to work properly. I bought a bigger, stronger hose(less prone to constriction on itself) and problem solved. I forgot how loud it was until I didn't have it anymore.
I think it is a really good BOV, but if I didn't fix it I would've bought the Forge DV.
