If its a drag car I would never even think of a 35R..... Dan had gone deep into the 9's on a 37R, I know the 35R hit 9's as well but the 37R has been more consistent getting there.

If it was more of daily driver I would still stick with the 37R. There is something to be said about being different.

Your not hitting great numbers on 93 only.... those turbos don't wake up til race gas so what is the different. if you can gain an extra 60 whp + with the 37R and only lose 300 rpms that to me seems well worth it......
Try reading it a little slower then. The guy in the thread wants around 600whp. He is debating the 35R and 37R. Peope are responding saying go big or go home. He already is going big. A GT35R is a huge turbo, period.

You wouldnt think of a 35R if it was a drag car.. Youve got to be kidding me. Most people would agree a 2.3+35R is an absolutely fantastic street/strip setup with incredible power and driveability.

I dont see too many "only losing 300rpm" and gaining 60whp scenarios shown. Sounds good, but if that really was the case, I dont think 35Rs would be so popular, especially among shops. Like EB John said, to take REAL advantage of the 37R, the 2.0L is much better choice, and of course this is assuming drag racing is the main goal. Either way, its very difficult to max out even a 35R, so if you cant even do that, why jump up to another size.

i think the HTA 3582 turbo is a very good option for those who are debating on 35 or 37r. David Buschur runs this on his 9 second street car, spools faster and makes more power on entire powerband compared to off the shelf 35r. If I were to do it all over again, built 2.0 with 9.0 compression and the HTA 35r, seems it would have better streetability than the 37r and similar top end power.

I'd suggest spending the money on a Twin Scroll setup

Has anyone ever looked into the Power Enterprise IHI RX6R for a new set-up ? And if not why.

Im debating this very thing now...Do I go Twin Scroll 37r, or HTA 35R. Its going to be a stock block for 6000miles (6 months) after the turbo install. Or do I get a buschur 2.0l short block first, and then the turbo setup the year after.

The goal is to go 10's on pump and 9's on c16. Then being to convert to E-85 when the stations become easier to come by and to go 9's on that. Maybe w/ a lil help....50shot direct port. hehehe

I know full race does a twin scroll GT3582. Would it be possible to get a twin scroll variant of the HTA 35R? That would be a ridiculous monster!

I have a GT35 and I love it to death, but my motor is getting built and I believe it would max out around 600-650whp. I'm trying to accomplish 700whp which the 37 is capable of doing.

I made 615hp on 35r 2.3L on 30psi on race gas.... 35r spools nice, and quickly too!! I've heard that the 37r doesnt do to well on the evo from a few people... Just really comes down to other supporting mods....
