I know it's been done I am just saying why not go Ls1 hence the wink since it's a very powerful motor. I'd like to see someone put an RB25 or RB26 engine in the Evo you could probably keep the AWD too. Now that would be beastly.

man o man the Ls1 is a GM Aluminum block that is 5.7 liters and makes gobs of torque
2JZ is the MKIV Supra engine an Inline 6 3.0 liter Iron block that loves boost.
RB25 and RB26 are the Nissan Skyline Engine which is also an Iron Block but has the displacement of the name it has for example RB25 for 2.5 liters and RB26 for 2.6 liters also an Inline 6 rival of the 2JZ power plant as well.
all of which are engine's that make alot of power. and are very respectable motors.
The 4G63 can make great power too though.

I'm sure with alot of fabrication work anything is possible, but I'd take a look at the LS1 Evo though I believe now the Car really has no traction which is a shame since they ruined such a nice Evo 7. You can go ahead and try it out though, and tell us if it works.

which would be more economical?

initially i was toying of the idea of mating my 4g63 head with a stroked- up 4g64 block to yield 2.6L.

then i tot, would it be possible to just drop a 3.8L 6G75 in instead?

guys, any comments here?

any trade offs in terms of costs, compatability, amount of work needed to get the set up to work properly?

Man, you HATE turbo lag, huh? Stroke your 4g63 to 2.3L, get a GT35 kit (or the new 20g-9-5) and a good tune, have a ton of fun, and kick the sh@t out of 99% of the cars on the road as long as they cost less than 100G's. And laugh at how much more they spent to get whupped.....

Anyway, I would imagine that the 2.6L 4g64 would be the easiest and least expensive of the swaps you proposed. The V6 will be MUCH more involved.

That LS1 Evo just needs bigger tires......LMAO
