Borg Warner Turbo and DNP manifold

Anyone running a Borg Warner turbo (s256, s361, s366, s372 etc..) with the DNP tubular manifold? How's the DNP manifold holding up? Whats you complaints or compliments on the DNP manifold?

I have a DNP (off car now), and I had no complaints at all. Looks very nice, and seems to be a high-quality piece. Was on the car for about 15K miles, and survived 1 winter with no cracking issues. Hope that helps you.

As for the turbos, never heard of them before. Good luck!

Yeah not many srt's have borg warner turbo's, just the one's the shop I work at have installed (s256, s361, s366, and s372). The BW turbo's have made crazy power! And only one srt (another one of our's) has the DNP manifold. The DNP mani is not popular among the srt community. I'm just trying to do some research with these products on other makes and models since the srt community is not as active with these products as others. Thanks for the info thus far guys. Great to hear the feedback from you. Keep them coming please.

I ran a punny k04-001 in my old VW for a little bit until it decided to shoot the turbine down the DP. Borgwarner do make good Big Turbos, you must be looking into some serious power then.

S256 has been tried by Buschur and others, it did not work well on the Evo at all. Hopefully the larger frame turbos they produce will fare better.

What didnt work about them? Spool to late? What kind of power did they end up making with the s256? I know they spool around 3300 on srt's and make around the 530 range. Buschur the only one to test them? Is there any others that have tested it? we have the bigger borg warners like the s361, and s366 on 2 of the cars. We are finishing up doing s372 build in about 2 months. Sorry about all the questions guys but I only know of one shop other then ours working with the borg warners (supra shop) but they only use the s400 and s500 series turbos, and i'm just trying to figure out results from others tests to see how they're doing with their borg warner turbo's. Did CFT do some work with the smaller borg warner turbo's (s200 and s300 series)?

Just do a search. They were hyped up here a year or two ago and a lot of turbo kits utilizing the 256 were supposed to materialize...they didn't. Buschur's car spooled up the same or slightly worse than a standard 50 trim and was down on power significantly compared to the 50 as well. I believe he used the T3 turbine housing and people were saying that was the problem versus using the KKK housing, or vice versa, I don't really remember as I wasn't all that interested. Regardless, there were guys who used the "correct" exhaust housing and were promising big numbers and it never happened....everything just dissolved away.

The S256 works well in the T3 housing if its mated w/ a manifold to suit the turbine housing. There is a .70 open turbine that was released that we have switched on a car here that works really well, he has since ran 11.9@ 21 psi on pump no meth, full boost 4000-4200rpm. Gotta be careful mounting the Borg turbo's to manifolds though as the turbine offsets the turbo about a 1/2" further out then a Garrett.
