Installed Ebay intercooler today
I just installed this IC as well. It's a good piece, especially for the price. I had to modify the lower brackets to bolt it on and that was a pain. I also had trouble using the stock elbow couplings. I have a minor clearance issue somewhere near the center of the bumper, but I haven't removed it again to check.

You guys really need stop bashing on ebay parts. Because you have no idea what your talking about!
I just bought a new Lexus GS 350 AWD and I wanted to upgrade the sound system so I found some awesome Emerson speakers on eBay. Some quailty as JBL or Bose.
Also I just built a new house and saved over $50,000 on material. How did I do it? You guessed it, ebay! I bought all my lumber for the entire house. It was shipped from Cambodia. I mean the quality isn't the best but wood is wood!

i heard some of you guys on the forum buy ebay parts, but i also stick to the old saying you get what you pay for. keep us updated on the condition of this intercooler in another 4 to 5 months.
i paid $140 shipped if it blows in 4 months ill buy another and another and another. How much is ams over $900
Its not worth the money for a big piece of metal a actual turbo or full exhaust is cheaper than those intercoolers.

the ebay ic is just as good as anythign else as far as quality... how can u screw that up...
The intercooler really shines when ur running high boost. at 19 pounds ur not gonna notice much of a difference.
DB did the test showing how great it is..... on a 650whp car compared to his race intercooler which is about 25% LARGER! it only lost 12whp..
Not bad since this is rated for aroudn 500whp.... =-)
like the o2 housing i wouldnt be surprised if he stopped making his street core and just started selling the ebay cores lol

Its suppose to wieght 19-20 pounds which is the average for intercoolers of that size. i think the stock is like 10 or 12 pounds.

left the undertray off, did not feel like trimming it. Had to take off the left side air dam to oil cooler.
I did not drop boost at all. i was at 19psi dropping at 6k to about 17psi
After installed it hit 19psi and stayed all the way to 7k
boost came on alittle later than before barely noticeable but once it is spooled up is much more responsive.
i have injen intake, fuel pump, catless turbo-back, and tune.

Why is it there everytime someone post about putting a ebay FMIC on everyone gives them crap. I beat no one would give him crap about the 02 housing that they sell on ebay.
And as for the comments about it not lasting, had mine for a year now and you know what, still works just fine.
P.S. There has already been a test, search, buschur did it. The Ebay ams copy did not perform as well as theres did but thats on a 500+ car if i remeber correctly. and it was a pertty controlled test so the results are should be on mark.
