Transmission Help Please

I have a black fluid slowly dripping from my transmission.
Can anyone tell my what type of fluid this is and what could be a possible problem?

Could my case be cracked?

It only drips when the car is on for over half hour and when car sits over night it stops dripping completely.

try tighting the fill plug for the tranny, mine was leaking and i was about to tear that crap apart (the transmission) but saw that i had about a 1/4 inch turn left on the fill plug.
