Did you divide the inside of the housing? Or was there just a hole cut and a pipe welded to it?

I closed up the existing hole between the two chambers, so yes it is divided.

There is the main opening for the turbine exhaust gas which goes to the down pipe.

Then there is a separate chamber that goes from the wastegate air to the open dump
