Po300 Finally Fixed For Me!!!
GSXExtreme, I don't know what version you bought or what company makes it. I put the link up top to show the very exact version that solved mine and other people's issues. I'm not familiar nor will I comment on another ccreader because I simply don't know how it performs. I will say that I don't have any P0300 codes at all and the version you have seems to be still reporting to the ECU so I find that strange. but I'm glad it at least solved some of your concerns.
I thought I wrote a pretty clear picture of the problem and solution but I see some questions so let me re-iterate them.
Pay attention:!!!
The PROBLEM is not my transmission, nor is it my clutch nor is it my engine or ECU or anything associated with my drive train. The only problem which Mitsu has accepted is an overly sensitive sensor somewhere in the system that my ECU gets a report for and triggers "Are you listening" Triggers a false alarm as a possible problem in my engine thus Causing the actual Studder and then Check Engine Light.
I cannot vouch for any other brand make or model but this specific CCREADER when left plugged in (I never pull it out) simply receives same message from this overly sensitive sensor. It however shows it to you and then clears it before actually sending it to the ECU thus not letting the ECU react to it and pull timing or the engine's firing sequence.
I hope this clarifies any questions.
In the end guys, nobody, not Mitsubishi, nor any other Evo performance shop could give me the answer to solving this problem. Trust me I tried everything including changing a transmission and transfercase with a friend for testing. I truly believe my issue has something directly related to the extra Clutch noise that my performance clutch creates. This extra noise although normal for the clutch does not play well with mitsubishi's drive train/engine sensor.
I am providing to you what my experience and time has showed me that for 32$ which is peanuts for all the headaches it causes it solved my issue and those of fellow evo owners experiencing the same problem.
P.S. I was on your end typing similar questions in the end I figured that for that small change it was worth finding out if it really solved my problem which it did.
Also don't ask a question that I already answered in my 2 long posts because at that point you're simply not reading.. I think I've answered any question you could have had regarding this issue.
I have an 03 Evo in case anyone wondered.

I think im going to try this c-reader. Every since I got tuned for 100% meth this po300 code keeps poping up. Maybe its the meth? maybe its the high psi? BUT I reset the code- and I was driving normal and still a po300 code! so it can't be the high psi?
Jedi Gill is is reemphasizing some important information. However, I’d point out that sensors only send information in the form of some varying electrical signal, they do not set codes. Codes are only set by the ECU's software. So, for reasons unknown to me, having a Creader plugged into the ECU’s port prevents the P0300 code from being set. I’d guess this applies to any code but I only get the P0300 code so can’t say for sure.
it'll clear any code so there's "real" code and you didn't notice.
barneyb,
can you verify your rom internal id (using EcuFlash) to see if it's 94170008 or 94170015? If it's the 0008 then you didn't have the factory reflash fix for the p0300 yet. Try it maybe it helps fix for issue. Please ignore if you have the later (0015). On my car, the p0300 is gone with the 0015, I was occasionally getting the code with the 0008.

Keep getting this code as well. Funny thing about it is it comes on when i'm completely stopped and stays on until i reset it. Gotta check that out. Where do you plug into? Same spot as the tactrix cable?
However for the P0300 code.. I consider that a sensitive knock sensor so as it stand It's the only actual fix.. since not triggering that code to the ECU actually does solve a problem.
I respect your technical expertise but unless someone else gives me a way to fix this.. This creader that I bought is the only thing that keeps my car from knocking on when cruising.
