what can I do with $11,000 ??

hi guys

I have about 11,000 dollars to spend for my car and I am looking to incrase my horsepower without using race gas or meth .. I want at least 450whp on 98 R.O.N octane (which means 93-94 in the US) am using the car everyday (daily use)

My mods for now are :
Blitz cat-back exhaust
3 inch costum mid pipe
Fujitsubo Downpipe
Apexi Power FC
HKS Twin plate clutch
Blitz bov
blitz TT
Tein super street coil overs

I am thinking to spend this money for :
GReddy T67-25G turbo kit..or GT35R or whatever
720cc Injectors or whatever
FMIC with UICP & LICP
1.2 metal head gasket
HKS 272 cams
what else ??????????

Why rebuild them if they are not broken?

450whp is safe on our motors, again why rebuild?

Go with an ETS; LICP, FMIC, and if you want you can do the UICP too but it wont help very much.

GSC S1 cams are better than HKS, so I would do those.

For the turbo kit, shop around at AMS, Buschur, and ETS. a .63 exhaust GT35R would probably suit your goals.

Just check out Buschur's current sale. $2795 for the 35r kit. Add FMIC, injectors, and EM if you want, and you're going to have money left over, and a kick *** car

get 280 cams not 272s..make alot more power up top with a big turbo..
gt35r will be pointless with no meth or race gas...you need to run around 30 psi
better off with a gt30r or the green...or 50trim
id build the bottom end...cams spings and retainers....that will let you rev to 9k
get a good clutch..exedy
do full bolt on
and stand alone fuel

I havent seen too many cars get to the mark on pump gas. 410-420, maybe. And since you don't plan on using meth/alky, its even harder and a big turbo is a must.
To get 450whp (hopefully we're thinking dynojet), you could use the following:

35/37R turbo kit.......approx. $4000
pump/injectors.........approx. $400 (880s of higher w/255)
FMIC KIT...................approx. $900
BOV..........................approx. $200
Exhaust....................approx. $700 (since you will already have a dp with the kit)
EMS..........................approx. $2000 (installed and tuned)
SMIM........................approx. $900 (not necessary, but would help)
Cams and studs.......approx. $700
Twin disc..................approx. $1450 (and up)
------------
Total........................approx. $11,250

Miscellaneous (gauges, plugs, etc)......$400-650 (just a wild guess)
And i didnt add my fee for adding this s**t up.
You could shop around between vendors and skim some of the prices.
But, this is an idea.
Fellow members, feel free to copy/edit/repost sugested prices.

I DIDN'T EVEN INCLUDE LABOR!

11k is a lot.... but not running race gas or meth, you would be hard pressed to reach those numbers.

Get a 2.3 and a gt35 with full supporting mods and you should be able to do it.

i say run meth and a buschur 3065r.
thats like 3k
meth is like 500 for a good kit.
fmic 1000
a 2.3l stroker, and heacwork is like 5gs
headstuds, gauges and other misc. stuff add like 1000 just to run high on the estimate probably less.
tuning like 500 bucks or so

thats around 10,500 with some high estimates and youd be close to 500 whp and have a sweet motor.

You can easily accomplish that and make your car handle great too. I spent less than 11K w/430 WHP & 410 WTQ, and that included all my mods to the whole car, not just the power train. Get a ROBISPEC tuned suspension and your car will be faster
