I just bought the ACT HD clutch kit without the flywheel, I am just going to leave the stock flywheel on just resurface it... Will the stock flywheel be a problem?

 

I have the ACT HDSS Street Disc clutch - only 1000 miles. I am using a stock flywheel. So far I haven't had any of the lock out issues that I have read so much about, but I do have the Buschur motor mounts which probably helps as far as gear lock out is concerned. 8000 RPM rev limit. Only very slightly more pedal pressure (hardly notice it) and it grabs much harder than the stock clutch.

I would say keep the stock flywheel and have it resurfaced. The stock I heard weighs around 13.5 lbs. which is pretty light for an oem flywheel. In my opinion I don't think it's worth the extra 150 bucks for a aftermarket flywheel.
