Backfire at 5k

Ok this is what happened, I just got my Buschur o2 housing, AMS catback, and the QTP electric cutout downpipe put on my IX MR. so I go out to test drive and make sure there are no leaks and basically just to see how it sounds. Everything is fine until I open the cutout. I take off from a stoplight and get into it pretty good and it has a major backfire right at 5k rpm. So I obviously get out of it and close the cutout and resume "normal" driving, with no other problems. Is this just a tuning issue or is something else going on? other than the mods listed, the car is stock, it has not been tuned yet. any help is greatly appreciated as I am pretty new to the boosted world.

I have the new buschur mbc but haven't installed it yet. I don't know what I hit, boost cut or fuel cut, why would the open downpipe cause either of those? it ran great with it closed and I was nowhere near redline when it happened. it sounded bad whatever it was, and that is why I am asking you guys what is going on

hm... I was reading this and was thinking... does he have a rev limiter? I'ld like to tune my IX to that "misfiring" system if its safe, I really like that backfire schtuff. I just don't know what to buy. A buddy of mine tunes AE86's and has a rev limiter(ignition based) and it does the same thing except a dirty version cause fuel consumtion isn't optimized. An Anti Lag System is what I'd be referring to.

ebay o2 housing? no, I bought and waited for the good one from buschur. and no it hasn't happened since because I am afraid of doing damage to the engine, therefore, I haven't opened the valve and driven it. I will probably end up driving to buschur to get the car tuned as there is no shop around my area that I would trust to do it right, I am sure they have probably seen it before
