Replace stock "spring bolts"?

The bolts that I am talking about are the bolts that connect the hotside to the downpipe (the ones that are a pain in the a** to get back in). Is there any advantage/ disadvantage to replacing these with standard bolts?

My thought is that Mitsubishi would not put them in unless there was a fairly good reason. I am thinking the answer is yes I should keep them in because they cut down on vibration perhaps?

I have upgraded from the stock hotside to a 10.5 hotside and a Perrin downpipe if that makes any difference in anyones answer.

Thanks in advance.

Thats right. You must keep them there, unless you replace your downpipe with one that has a flex section in it (like the Megan Racing one for example).

The new megan downpipe has no flex section and is recommended to use their bolts instead of the spring bolts.

Dude, any other comments (as long as theyre correct) are going to say the same thing. You need the bolts unless you buy a downpipe with a flex section, period.

Well that is not a good plan unless "their" bolts are spring type like the stock ones.
