EVO 9 HKS cam=hollow??

I just got a set of HKS 272 cams for my Evo. To my suprise, the intake cam is hollow just like stock Evo 9 unit. No engrave on the intake . The exhaust side is a solid piece and have a HKS engrave in it. So is HKS regrind the stock Mivec cam??

where did you buy from? the exhaust is going to be the same as evo8 so its going to have a diff appereance but i figured HKS would have marked any of their products call and find out.

i've also seen this in the only set of HKS mivec cams i've installed. it had the same markings as the stock cam did. my assumption was it is a regrind, or more then likely it is a blank from the same manufacturer as the stock cam, but ground to HKS' specs.

If they're charging $600 for regrinds then that's garbage. I'd buy BC's when they come out before I bought a regrind

Ok, so I'm not the one off then. I bought my HKS cams from Nolimit. It's could be factory blank, since it's kinda early to have the Mivec regind. Anyway, I thought that's pretty cool to have hollow cam like the stock unit.

HKS FTW! The best EVO9 cam produced as hollow it is! This cam is just full of power from start to finish!

I wish these cammed EVO9s would start hitting the track. I've only seen not so hot dyno plots or something that wasn't a true before/after test. If the cams produce start to finish power cammed 9s should be at least .2 quicker and a few mph faster than non-cammed 9s.

i just cant wait for AMS to do a back to back of all the major IX cams. Cossi, GSC, HKS etc. Test should be done on both a stock ish car and a fully built car
