I 3076 and now run the 3065 and I couldn't be happier that I switched.

** It was NOT AMS' 3076 kit though.

I was thinking of installing the 3065 on the stock block with 272 cam and APR studs and conrodbolt. would i be able to boost it to 25psi and would the engine hold.
run the turbo on a 2.0 block then feeling the change with a 2.3 engine.

i have the hated ATP 3076r and i love it. 472whp with 25psi and meth. its pulling the same numbers as most 3065's are. i wont argue that a 3065 may have more up abover 30psi though.

Yes it would.

I ran it at 29psi on my car with C16 race gas. It put down 462whp on our Mustang Dyno and went 11.04 @ 128mph. 100% stock block, head, intake manifold, ignition etc.... All I had was our stages 1-4 w/ 272 cams, AEM EMS, BR 3065 Turbo kit and the Exedy Twin HD clutch kit.

Cool

thanks Jrod,
I will be running a Autronics Standalone ECU with the same setup. Once i get the turbo i might drop you a line an check out ur mapping setup.
Im planning to get a good turbo setup with the stock block and then start improvingh the preformance of the car changing over other stuff (intake, stroker, cams) that way i can really feel if those other mods really did make a diffrence or not.

what do you guys think?

My idea : SAME TURBO, MAKE MORE POWER FROM OTHER ITEMS ON THE CAR

If you want something from AMS and you like the 3065, ask if they will do a kit with a 3082 (similar to the BR 3065). Also, if you're looking at a 3076, check out the twin scroll 3076 kit from Full Race. There have been some impressive track times posted recently from that kit.

Come on honestly why bother taking a chance buying either one and just go with the a 35R even a new HTA 35R ive been hearing alot about them also. All or nothing right just think about it as you only having to buy something once.

They two are different turbo's, The 3065 is bigger and will make more power, AMS does not have a turbo kit that is equivalent to buschur's 3065.

I think that is Buschur team is reading this post they should consider bringing the line of FP3052 that so many DSM owners are so happy about it.

I know Buschur team is very capable and competent of making anything but if they have the FP3065 I don't see why not to offer the smaller brother 3052 series.. just my .2c.

Oh by the way, I say BR3065.

I am a big fan of buying stuff only once (unless I really have to)

If you are worried about the lag from a 35r, I can tell you it is not that bad and thanks to BR and FP for coming up with the HTA which is a better turbo overall than the 3582r

Most people want faster spool up and talk about lag like it was a bad std, bottom line is if you are like 80% (+me) of every Evo owner you will end up wanting more power at the end. Do it once do it right IMO.

Good luck with your choice, just my 2c

Not eveyone wants a big turbo. I personally like it, but I know people that wouldn't trade their 3076 for my 35R even if I gave them $200.

BR3065 ftw! The lag is way overrated. And this is coming from a guy that went from a stock 16g w/just intake & TBE untuned up to the 3065 w/all supporting mods. Very happy with it, the little lag is worth the wait. You say 400-450hp but what if you want more later on? That's what bites you in the butt. If your really set on those numbers then I'd consider the FP Green buddy.

the shocker,
Do you have a 2.3 lt crank or are you using the stock crank?

at what rpm does the Turbo reach full boost.
