BR3065R or AMS3076R
I cant seem to decide which kit to go for. BR 3065 or AMS3076
I wil be installing the turbo on a built 2.3lt engine with HKS 272 cams. I dont want to go with the GT35 becuase it would be too laggy. We have 95 and 98 octane fuel here so i wouldnt need to run meth.
waiting to hear from users. please include ur setup
thank

Just go big the first time and get a 37R. My buddy has 1 on his 2.3 built VIII and it doesnt lag that much more compared to my other buddy that has the 3076 on a 2.3 built VIII

I would say 3065. Its flows 65 lbs per min. with a 82mm compresser.where the 30R is a 52 lb per min wheel in 76 mm. the 3065 should be able to flow for about an extra 100hp or more at choke flow. Im leaning towards a tubular 3065 kit from buschur.

Probably, you'll need to go larger than 720 c.c. injectors on your projected setup. Probably at least, 850-880 c.c. nozzles. Also, a Buschur Racing high-flow, single, in-tank pump might be advisable. Since you'll be going with either AMS or BR, then check with them about fuel delivery requirements.
Between the two turbo kits that you mention, I myself would go with the BR 3065. Although, having said that, the AMS kits are extremely well constructed. Either way you can't go wrong.
Which brand of 272 cams are you considering? The HKS 272's would be too mild for your long stroke engine with the big turbo. For your setup, Buschur Racing has a more suitable, proprietary grind camshaft(BF 272).
Edit: As far as standalone ECU's are concerned you may want to get an AEM EMS, since this is the standalone that is used by most U.S. based Evo tuners. I think that then you could have your car tuned via Email. This way Dave Buschur could tune your car. If you can talk him into it. Eventually, I plan to go to an AEM EMS myself. Although, I am not sure that Dave does Email EMS tunes. Talk to him.
Also, you'll be needing a larger, more efficient intercooler. The Buschur Racing, Race Core, Front Mount Intercooler is the way I would go. It is humongous.
