^^Yeah 91 octane is crappier than 92 but 92 is still crap....

You should think about getting some Rod bolts....just for added safety. Any car pushing over 400whp should have the stock Rod Bolts upgraded. It costs around $250 or so but it saves thousands if you are gonna run a good amount of boost and drive hard. Good luck.

How much is that going to cost in labor?? If it's pretty simple to do when upgrading the head studs, I might be interested. I'll read up on it. Thanks.

Well I visit the track occasionally, once a month probably, and do a good bit on the streets. My plan is: ARP head studs, rod bolts, ETS 3.5" downpipe back, ETS 3.5" FMIC, 870 or 1000cc injectors, meth, Comp Cams 280 w/ springs and retainers, clutch, mbc, fuel pump. I think thats it. What you think? I have talked it all over with Tom at ETS, so I feel pretty confident in the list.

Denso 1000cc injectors
ACT Street clutch
Dual in tank Fuel pumps w/fuel regulators
AEM Meth, but those number are not on Meth, With meth it's more like 490 HP on 20lbs
How do you like the Comp Cams?

It cost me around $250 or so with labor and parts. You don't have to pull the motor to install the rod bolts so guys over at English Racing did it in like an hour or two..... Great investment if you are gonna be boost happy .

Yeah man, get her done......Lucas charges like nothing to install these and gets them done quick if he has the rod bolts stock.

I would run the 1000cc injectors, I dont know much about Comp Cams but If I had another choice in cams i would run the GSCs. Get a EBC, such as AEM Tru-Boost cause its so convenient to change boost on the go. Get a wideband so the tuner can tune with it...AEM UEGO. I got some Cam Gears to go with my cam so the tuner can fine tune timing, should be good for a little bit of HP. Other than what i said your supporting mods looks great . What meth are you gonna run...AEM, Snow, Aquamist...etc?

I will have to give the shop that does my tuning a call to see what kind of prices they offer. Thanks for the heads up.

Lucas usually has the bolts in stock but just give him a call a couple of days in advance and he will have it there for you. When you want to make power, you gotta take safety precausions for the engine or BOOM .

They should charge no more than $250 to $300 and some shops told me they will have to pull the motor and other junk but thats all BullSh!t so they can charge you more money for doing simple stuff. Search around and go to a shop that knows our engines. Good luck.

Yea I didn't put down any gauges on that list, but I plan on getting a Wideband along with a new boost gauge (psi), egt, and ot. As for the boost controller, I was thinking og going with the Hallman in ****-pit, I have heard great things about Hallman so I feel that it should be a good fit for me. The cams I had down to Comp and GSC S2's, but I leaning more towards the Comps due to a longer exhaust duration which should help to spool the turbo a little bit quicker than the GSC's, any thoughts on that? And I plan on going with a Snow meth kit

Id say call Greg up at GSC and talk it over w/ him first before going w/ the comp cams. I know the comps may be good, but GSC's are really good cams too.

Snow meth kit is good but I have heard a ton of good stuff about Aquamist kit. Check them out and also check out AEM meth kit. They both suppose to be good.
Comp Cams are good cams but GSC's i believe is pretty good overall. The quality of their stuff is great. Just talk to Greg and ask them for some help on cam selection. They should be able to help you out.

I talked with Tom from ETS and had him add the con rod bolts to my order. I also asked how hard it is to put them in. He said it's as easy as dropping the oil pan and going to work swapping them out...I'll be doing that work myself, along with the installation of my turbo kit, head studs and other parts as well. Thanks for the heads up!
