Id start with 41psi with the vac hose off as this would indicate press. at WOT. Raising fuel press is a bandaid for having too small of injectors. If this reg is is able to reference boost then it will raise psi at a 1:1 ratio.

actually that is what i have it at...and the car drives well..however..there is this spot in the partial throttle range where my fuel pressure shoots to ~87psi and the car starts stuttering..

keep in mind my car is not yet tuned .. i am just tryin to get it run a little right in order to break in the clutch before it gets tuned

thanks

i just went out in the car...and analyzed the following:
**as soon as it starts boosting as minimum as 0.1bar...at any rpm...in any gear...my fuel pressure shoots to 6+bars and the car wants to switch off
**if at idle...i rev the car...boost 0.1 bar...car dies...and my fuel pressure stays at 6+bars ...the car wont start again...i then have to wait for aproximately 10 mins for the pressure to drop to ~4 or less bars for the car to start..even then its hard to start and if i dont get it right..the fuel pressure will shoot to 6+ bars and i have to wait again..

note..i tried adjusting the fuel pressure regulator...to the minimum and to the maximum....doesnt affect anything..

thanks

might be a deffective reg. or your just flooding the cyl with too much fuel. If the car hasnt been re-tuned for larger injectors dont expect it to run right. The car is still thinking its getting stock fuel inj CC's but now your giving it more and it cant compinsate for it.

Check the plugs to see if they smell like gas

did you recently change the boost / vacuum source for your fuel pressure regulator or change the line going to the fp reg.?

i would look into the fp regulator too.

i actually just installed my 750cc injectors/fuel rail/ams vsr and the fuel pressure reg.

i looked at all the connections as well as AMS install procedure several time...and made sure everything is installed properly...

your regulator is either messed up, or your fuel return line is plugged. 6 bar is exactly where the bypass valve in the Walbro fuel pump is fully open. Sounds like your regulator isn't controlling fuel pressure at all, only blocking return fuel back to the tank. The internal bypass valve in your fuel pump is (assuming you're running a drop in Walbro) opening, and that's what is regulating fp at 6 bar.

get a tune , put it on the dyno so you can correct it rather than playing a guessing game.. IMO

as much as i would love to do so...my tuner is flying in for a limited time only and i am trying sort out all the bugs before he gets in...
also..i need the car to run a little better so i could break in my new clutch before i start driving it during the tuning session...

thanks for all the input..

keep them coming guys

thanks again
