So my follow up questions...
What TBE system? I would like something that will fit nicely, that isn't too difficult to install. I would like to run a high flow cat. I like a deep growl, but I'm not into fart cans. I hate that tuner image. I'm assuming that most 3" exhausts will have similar hp gains with a tune, but can somebody link me to dyno results? And finally, I'd like something that will give me a good weight loss from stock. More power and weight reduction is going to equal more performance in my eyes. I've heard of the Greddy All TI system weighing in at 15 lbs, but that seems a little expensive for 1,500.

And intakes seem unpopular here, I kind of like the turbo noises and it seems stupid easy to install. And if I'm getting a tune, seems like I might as well do it. I want decent filtration so HKS is out IMHO. But anything that doesn't require a mini-battery is good. Any suggestions? Or is the answer still a drop in?

Thanks.

If your looking for a TBE that is quiet then dont look at the greddy TI. Titanium exhuast seem to be more louder then regular steel. Check out Cobb tunings new TBE, looks good, im considering it. As for intakes i say stick with a drop in.

You can get a quiet TBE, but usually less noise equals more restriction.
If you want quiet and performance then get rid of the cat and the stock downpipe but continue to run the stock catback. Most stock turbo dyno's show the true bottle neck in the exhaust as the downpipe and cat. The difference in power between the stock catback and 3" exhaust is about 10whp and a little slower spool.

A downpipe, testpipe, and ECUFLash will put your 9 into the 12s.

Also, there is no reason to get an aftermarket fuel pump until you upgrade turbo or injectors. The 8s had a weak fuel system but mitsu fixed the problem in the 9.
