I suppose we could have done both tests in an abandoned nuclear missile silo a thousand feet underground or something, but we did have a budget . Anyway, the turbo kept doing the same thing. I would speculate never.

The other graphs you link to are some of the preliminary...so you got to see progress reports along the way.

As far as pricing, you should be as careful in your price comparisons as you are your dyno comparisons. Comparing one items wholesale price to the retail price of another is like comparing dyno jet to mustang charts :P

Regarding the upgrade program...it's all built into the low $450 price tag...

Regarding GT30 - Yes, Our new HTA aero will bleed over into other sizes and applications such as 76mm and 88mm. The 82mm for the 35R was the first one to be produced.

Ok, that's it. I'm going to bed. Enough internet for me tonight.

Robert, thanks for the response. I actually really appreciate what Forced Performance and Buschur have done with this test, even though it likely won't even affect me (or will it...88mm you say... ). Quite frankly, I think this turbo is doing exactly what you are advertising it to do. The question about the run conditions is just simply because I throughly believe in making the complete information available on that type of testing. It gives away nothing on a true test (doesn't revile any "secrets" of the part) but it can quickly point out a false test. I think posting that type of information right off the bat just strengthens your case as to it being a fair test and why I request it. But so we are on the same page, I believe that you have throughly tested this turbo and are reporting honest results. I just like to see complete data.

The time based graph would likely just make it that much more obvious as to how much better this turbo is and it would be in your best interest to post it for those that do understand the time based charts. It basically integrates the difference between the two power curves and gives a point A to point B final result, which is all that matters in the end.

I have yet to see an A/B/A/B test from any companies that I would trust, other then this one.

As for pricing, yep I completely understand and for a person buying at retail prices it could definitely be worth looking into. There are lots of guys talking about $1200 manifolds and $800 worth of gates these days so might as well top it off with a $1700 turbo. Myself, I'd probably spend the $450 extra on some cam gears, racegas and track time. You could probably get similar gains with an optimised GT3582R setup and it gives me more tinkering time on the car. That's not to say that the optimized GT3582R would beat an optimized GT3582R HTA though. But I know not everybody is into that type of thing and most want a bolt on part that just works, which seems to be the GT3582R HTA. Congrats on the success of the turbo on the dyno.

Can't wait to see some track results from several different cars/setups.

Thanks.

With guys like LT1runner getting results like his right off the bat it is easy to see that what I've said and what Buschur has said is easily observed in the "real world" and not just the "tuner world" so to speak.

Sorry if I took the conversation off topic

HTA- 67 will be nasty!!! My HTA35R showed up yesterday and 94AWDcoupe took it apart instantly Its very interesting what they did,you will need a micrometer to really see the big difference. I can't wait to see the testing on the 67, I think we will see even bigger gains than we saw with the HTA-35R especially in spool up!

Smart money is that he is refering to the 4088 wheel not a 67. However, I would certainly buy a HTA 4094 if he wants to mess with something 67mm

HTA35r dominated the Evo Eliminator Class at the DSM/EVO Shootout yesterday, it's really a great freaking turbo. My RS ran one crappy pass (10.03) the rest of them were 9.90's and in the final went 9.84, almost every pass was mid 147's mph. This was on Toyo Radials, drove it to the track, out to dinner afterwards and back home.

The turbo performs.

This thing does perform over-and-over again

Great Job!

I take it there is a cage in your RS Or is the car just that un-suspecting

No cage, no way in my car. I won't even run a harness bar. Too afraid my kids will bash their heads on it while I am driving it on the street. It does have all the factory safety components, door beams, seat belts, air bags etc. Any cage on the street, in my opinion is unsafe.

I poked around a little, but what does The RS weigh w/o driver? Are the toyos any ind of "race" rubber, or just regular street tires? I was contemplating down grading my pt67 to an HTA.
