Recirculate or Atmospheric Dump?

Anyone have experience running an open atmospheric dump vs recirculating on an bigger turbo? I know it is going to be super loud, but I am looking to see what the power advantages are. I have been told that an open dump tube will make a signifigant amount more power. Thanks

It keeps the turbulence from wreaking havoc inside the exhaust where the streams merge. I don't know what kind of power this equates to, but I imagine in some circumstances it will make more of a difference than others.

But if your in a place with massive pig involvement sometimes its worth it in trade to quiet it down. Honestly imo there isn't nothing meaner than when that WG cracks on an open dump. Its just wicked.

I have done all the posible combos. I am running a big turbokit on a recirculating 1Gen DSM Buschur BOV on my Eclipse and it works perfectly fine.

I personally like recirculating.

An external wastegate and a dump tube.

dont waist your time with rouiting it back in
just run it open dump

its cheaper
makes more power
its only doing to be loud when you hit full boost anyways

My 44mm WG has point down, so I guess a few inches of dump tube just to get it away from the radiator and thats it?
