Question Atmosphere DP to Recirculating DP ??

Hey guys,
I've just picked up a '12 GSR. It has an ETS Vent to atmosphere downpipe, which sounds awesome and angry, but this is going to be my DD and I'd prefer not to wake up the entire neighbor hood. So... Would a re-tune would be necessary if I swapped that out with a recirculating one, or would it pretty much be plug and play? Mods on the car are listed in my sig.

Thanks in advance!

Just keep it. You only hear the dump under wide open throttle. I highly doubt you're blasting through your neighborhood at wot. A recirculated will be just as loud when crushing at low speeds through your neighborhood.

I suppose I should clarify that I mean "wake up the neighborhood" in less of a literal sense, and more so that I don't think I want the car to scream anytime I'm WOT (highway/onramps/occasional pulling into traffic/etc.)

couldn't be happier with my recirculated dp. i can understand not wanting to sound obnoxious and attracting too much negative attention, but having that throatiness is probably one of my favorite things, and mine is my DD.

I have a map O2 Dump downpipe (external wastegate pipe) You can't hear it when driving normal, the only time you hear it is under WOT. If I don't gun it, you wouldn't know I had one.

He doesn't want to hear it, period. lol

Yes, you should retune going to a recirc DP, or the vey least datalog some pulls to make sure AFR's are safe and you're not getting knock.

^ This, thank you. Finally a real answer, haha. Seems that was the general consensus on the EvoX forums as well, looks like a tune is the way to go. Appreciate the input.

Pointless. It's going to be equally loud besides at wot. Just put on the stock DP.
