In case it isn't evident, I am car #20311. The other car was a newer M3. LOL!

How much horsepower would you estimate would be necessary to run that kind of time?
I dont kow about estimating the power, but seems like your quarter mile would be about mid 12's @ 107-110

According to most 1/8 to 1/4 mile time converters, a 8.153 would be about a 12.79 in the quarter.

If this is 9sec9 and OKIX on this board, then a big congratulations to you two! I know you have both been working very hard to achieve these great times...

BTW, what finally brought you trap speeds up from 121-123 to 127mph?

Yes, it captures your 60' which tells something about your driving, but not as much about your car as the 1/4 mile.

For instance, a Green turbo and a 35r might run the same 1/8 mile, but once they're on the back half, big turbo says bye-bye...

Agreed. Nevertheless, an 1/8 mile track shouldn't be considered "junk".

Exactly my point...doesn't give a full idea given that with some setups the power doesn't kick in till later. That's why I don't trust conversion calculators either.

I dont think that that timeslip is as indicative of Green performance as some others. That is really a stock turbo type time slip. Heck even mine isnt that great for a Green compared to some stock turbo cars on the same fuel and nearly the same boost.

That timeslip wasn't from an Evo with an FP Green turbo. It was from my wife's Evo, which has the following mods:

Nisei IC and piping
Hallman MBC (set to 22psi)
Custom reflash
Braille battery

Everything else is stock. Tire pressures weren't even touched.

I wonder how you would have done with a Magnus intake manifold

I'm sorry, my fault for assuming. I was thinking it looked REALLY REALLY stock, I guess I know why now.

So, a REALLY REALLY stock Evo will run that time, or are you referring to a stock turbo itself?

Stock turbo. That equates to roughly a 12.63 or so which isnt bad at all for the bolt ons that you listed. Especially considering the exhaust being left alone.

Thanks for the clarification!

I just received my AMS 3" TBE and Walbro 255 today. I am installing it tomorrow and having the car retuned. There is another 1/8 mile event being held this Friday and I will be back out there. The car should run a little bit quicker, but I am more concerned about running consistent times rather then one very nice time and a bunch of ok times.
