Turbo Timer Questions...
I am new to turbo cars so I had a few questions regarding turbo timers. When you shut off your car does the turbo timer automatically start it back up or what? Can you just pull your keys out of the ignition and it will still be running? I am confused on how that works. Also does this mean you have to just put your ebrake on and not put the car in gear to keep it from rolling? If you put it in gear and the engine was still running you'd be ****ed. I am just curious as to how they work. I know what they do it is just that I don't understand how you can just leave your car sitting there while its running and be safe.
Thanks
Chris

you nailed it. seems most need the hand brake to be engaged in order to work. so yes you can just pull the key out and it keeps running. sometimes (on my Blitz DTT) there's a very VERY short stumble or pause right when I pull the key out. Must be the TT taking over. No biggie. And like normal you leave the car out of gear. The safety thing is all a matter of opinion. Lock your doors and I don't see the difference between it running for a few minutes or not.
I have the apexi TT and it has a wire that you splice into the ebrake so that if the ebrake is disengaged the car automatically shuts off. Also I dont experience any delay or stumble when taking the key out with the apexi unit. Not sure if it is normal for it to do that or not so you might wanna look into that?

You need to check your wiring. That stumble when removing your key is what my greddy was doing ....before it started stalling out on me. I'm 99% sure that the greddy harness has the two Ignition wires (IG1 and IG2) reversed and it caused me all kinds of hell. Check the post under the troubleshooting section and double check the harness connections and make sure those two ignition leads are not reversed.
