Installed new clutch now I have ?s

Just got a new clutch installed and I have a few questions, please help even as noobish as they may be.
  • I had installed the Exedy HD stage 2 clutch and gruppe-s flywheel, and it engages really quickly. I don’t know if that is how you word that but let me try it another way to see how it sounds. I have about an inch worth of release of my clutch pedal before it is completely engaged, I’m just used to having more room to slip the clutch with the stocker. Is there a way to adjust this or is it something I have to get used to. I don’t mind it is just a change.
  • The other thing is that when I am in 3rd gear and am driving at idol, so I’m moving but not giving it any gas, I hear a great sounding grinding noise. It is something I only have heard in 3rd gear, at least so far. Is it because the clutch was just installed and needs to be broken in still or should I give gruppe-s (they also did the install) a call and ask them what’s up before it turns into something worse.
Thanks guys I’m sure they are very noobish questions but I have never used an after market or upgraded clutch before and needed to ask.

1. You can try to raise your clutch pedal a little higher. From whave ive gathered, alot of exedy clutchs brand new engauge right off the floor. Mine does. I just got my clutch put in 1 week ago yesterday.

2. Bleed your clutch. I had a TON of air in my car for some reason.

3. That noise is just chatter. You will notice it even more on the highway. Get up to about 70, let off the gas and you will hear it. My exedy twin is not that noisy though compared to my old single plate exedy... that sucker was LOUD.

How do I raise the clutch pedal, is there something behind the pedal that I can loosen and then adjust?

Yup. Exedy fresh grabs right away...then that goes away or you get used to it. And definitely adjust the clutch...

I have the same problem, but adjusting the clutch didnt help with the 3rd gear grinding noise. I think my problem is the synchro. I'm gonna try bleeding the clutch cause I think thats the last thing I haven't done yet. I dont think it'll help much cause it only happens in 3rd at high rpm's. Time for shep to rebuild my tranny, blah.
