I opened my cam gear cover and i saw....

I opened my cam gear cover and i saw rubber dust from the timing belt! Is this normal? I just have my engine rebuilt a month ago or 1500 miles ago.... Is the belt too tight thats why is making dust? or is this normal?

i'm having a vibration at 4k rpm when u let off the throttle. could this be the issue? Al(Dynoflash) tuned my car couple weeks ago and he said that im having excessive vibration and he is 99.9% positive that its the balance shaft.

what do you guys think?

Take a look around and see if it's rubbing on something like the dust shield or the head of a bolt.

Sounds like someone did not put the oil/balance shaft gear into phase correctly when they put the belt back on. You need to get that fixed. Al knows what he is talking about and if he told you that than that is what it is and I agree
