Huge boost leak!

I am pressure testing my car for leaks...well either im doing something wrong or i have a major leak that is not visable. The car will no hold even a pound of pressure. The air is comming out as soon as it goes in it seens like. What would cause this? There are no visable holes or leaks anywhere. I smoke tested it with low pressure there is nothing wrong from what i can see. Im still seeing 21-22 psi like normal. The boost tester is fuctioning properly so that is no the cause. Anyone chime in with whatever ideas they have.

What are you using to pressurize the system? You need a compressor that can deliver enough psi to offset the small leaks that add up to one big leak.

If you are trying a bicycle pump, it won't work (personal experience).

Where should you start to pressurize the system?

Take off the intake, and start at the turbo.

Im using an 80 gallon compessor. The exact max psi im not sure but 90-100 i would guess. The tester im using is a rubber pipe conector with a flat end cap on it. I used a tire valve to get air into it.

here are some pics as how i did it:

i did not take out the maf pipe i left it where it was

Check to see if the EGR vacuum hose is connected on your throttle body. That would cause all your air to leak out during the boost leak test. Don't ask me how I know

Either you unplugged some vacuum hose, or if you have mbc, you did not plug the turbo hose that goes to it (usually on the bottom).

there are lines in the cam gears and the valve cover... turn the motor(crank in passenger front wheel well) until these marks are lined up
