Forge Adjustable Wastegate Actuator

Just wanted to know if anyone has this wastegate? (how do they feel about it, does it work good, does it really give more boost output, is it really neccessary?)

Thank you!

It hold the Wastegate Shut longer for holding more boost to redline and has more precise controld of the flapper, which leads to better boost response and control.

Deciding

I am having a hard time deciding on what to get. A Engine Torque Damper or Forge Adjustable Wastegate Actuator.

I'm using one. My car used to spike up to 24 psi @ around 4K rpm and taper down to 19 psi @ 7K rpm. With the Forge wg, 24 psi taper down to 22 psi. So it help regulatethe boost a little better.

Since we're on the WG subject, what happen if I have too much preload on the WG?

I can personally vouch for the Forge WGA. I had one on my TiAl VIII RS turbo and it allowed for very precise control of boost, at least, up to the levels that I explored(24-25 PSI).

Can you get the newer style piston-type Forge WGA for the IX turbo as opposed to the earlier, conventional spring/diaphragm versions? If so, PM me a price please.

I think it would be better if you pm him directly instead of posting this on a thread that was created last year.

I have one by Forced Performance.

You can get them new for $100 on their site, and there the same as Forged Performance.
