Oil leak from dead center of car.

The oil is kinda thick and dark. I am certain it's not the engine oil as I just changed it and checked the dip stick. Does anyone know where to check if it might be associated w/ the transmission oil? How do I check the transmission oil levels? Thanks all for your help and/or suggestions

The oil in the t case as well as the tranny you cannot check. There are several places it maybe leaking from. You need to find out what color it is first.
It maybe leaking from the top of the t case or the front engine seals. I would advise to search one thing at a time. Tranny, T-case, Front of the engine.
How many miles are on?

Sounds more like grease than oil..

Check your carrier bearing that connects the two drive shafts. It could be a busted seal or just extra grease being pushed out as the bearing heats up.
