Help. my SAFC-II will not work
I just finished installing my SAFC-II with the Fields Harness extender. I followed the instructions that came with the unit from AMS. I checked the connections with an Ohmmeter from each side of the harness extender and to the SAFC-II plug... All looks well, everything snaps into place, I turn on the key until the bells ring and nothing, nada, zip...the SAFC looks like it's not connected to anything. It does not come alive...
Fast forward one day and more looking at the instructions... Looks like I had wired it backawards... I rewired the harness extender and presto! the SAFC-II lights right up..
Now I have another minor problem. I need some help in going through all the screens to set it up. I would appreciate your help in navigating the screens. I did get recommended settings but I don't really know how to get to that point. Ithe freaking manuals are all in Japanese!.....

Then check if it works by selecting the low throttle map and lower the value with the car idling and see if it dies down.

I'll try messing with it tomorrow. I would have done something by now, but I'm afraid to do some damage... I appreciate your help, I wonder why nobody else offered any help? I'll enter my own A/F settings, so nobody should feel like they are giving away secrets or feel responsible for any problems I might have.... It just would be nice to share this type of information. I'll post in the 'How to" forum after I get done with my installation. Getting enough information to do this is proving to be a quite a challenge
Hey dude,
You live in georgia right? I think you have my numbers from a pm a few weeks ago. I have safc installed on my other car... it is a bit confusing but I can help you get it sorted out after living with one for a year or so now.
We can hook up one evening this week or sometime this weekend if you want. PM me if you need my numbers again, or just give me a ring if you still have them.
