I used the 2 interlocking wrench method (19mm and 21mm I think). After spraying it with WD40 and letting it sit for a while, I then put the 19mm wrench open end on the O2 sensor. Interlock the 21mm open end with the 19mm box end that's hanging down and use it for leverage. Although, a few well placed kicks didn't hurt either!

usually when i can't get bolts out, i heat it up a little with a torch. They come right out. Considering exhaust pipes can see around 800 degrees normally, i don't think it would hurt.

leverage can be your friend in need when it comes to working on cars. Jack the car up high and use the double wrench method.

To make thing easier just get an O2 sensor socket and it will come off easier. Also to remove the donut i just used a screwdriver. It is on there pretty good. Who cares if it tears apart. Your not reusing it are you?

For the 02 sensor, I also used an adj wrench, busted my nose open doing it on a lift, then I hit it the wrench a couple times with a hammer and it came loose easily. As for the donut gasket, take a pocket knife and just slide it around the bottom a couple times, and then just use the knife to pry it upward as you continue to slide it around the base!

...or like I mention above if you dont have the O2 socket, you can use the crescent ranch with a extension pipe.

on manifolds i have always found that if i spray some of that pb blaster and some tri flow, something mixes and i let it sit there for about five min. and they always come rite out.

you do have to understand that the exhaust gets very high heat, i mean high.

and the crescent with an extended pipe works great. but the doubling up on two open end wrenchs, i have got pretty hurt doing this. be careful..

DONT USE AN ADJUSTABLE WRENCH. use a box end wrench so you dont strip the o2 sensor itself. OR go to the autoparts store and look for a o2 sensor socket. should come out then...
