!!ETS 61mm Tuned!!

Well I thought I had better make a thread in the Engine/Turbo/Drivetrain section too, because what I am reviewing here is the ETS 61mm turbo kit. First and foremost, I am not going to repeat myself but I know many of you are aware of my feelings towards ETS, their customer service, and their products. Up until this past Saturday, I did not have any reason to make power/performance claims based on my own personal experiences with anything from ETS, because I had nothing to base them off of other than other peoples' cars and I do not like to do that. Now, however, all I can do is give ETS a huge on all aspects of their work.
The ETS 61mm surpassed my expectations on pump gas alone. I knew that I was dealing with a big turbo, so I was alittle concerned because I knew that I wouldn't be in this turbos efficiency range at only 24psi on pump gas. I wish I had a video of the car on the dyno because at only 17psi, I thought the car was boosting around 30psi; the car sounds sooo mean.
For those of you considering a larger turbo setup, don't just consider the GT35R. The PT61 actually has a slightly larger turbine (by 2mm) and comes with different housings from Precision, a .63a/r turbine housing and a .60a/r compressor housing. All it all, it is a sweet combination that makes tons of power mated up with the ETS tubular manifold and the Tial 38mm recirc dump into the bad*ss 5 bolt downpipe. I haven't experienced absolutely any surging issues at all with this turbo and at this conservative boost level, 24psi, nor have I haven't experienced any boost creep neither.
Combine this kit with an amazing tune from DTM, and you will have some beautiful curves that make some serious power

So here it is on Pure Tuning's mustang dyno (reads just like Buschur's dyno for reference):
Evo IX
Stock cams/head/block/clutch
pump gas
24psi
ETS 61mm
DTM tune

It is a mustang dyno that reads just like Buschur's mustang dyno. Pure Tuning had a customer come directly from Buschur's dyno to their dyno on the same day to see the difference and there was a difference of 2whp.

Would love to see the #s with some cams thrown in there and some Vp Import gas
I'm going to be testing all ETS turbos on my car next month to see how far we can push them on my setup

Congratz on the new setup! Should give E85 a try if you have any around

Either during Christmas time or early next semester I will be putting in cams, turning on my meth injection, and boosting it up to 30ish psi

Looking forward to seeing all your results Paul! Thanks for the compliment

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that I posted a teaser vid of my car at it's slowest Just to give you an idea here is a very short video. I'm sorry, my buddy got like 5 vids but they all turned out horribly because he was trying to drive and film at the same time, haha. Anyways, here it is. Just to show you the power of the car at only 24psi on pump gas.

Now you just need to get some cams and build the motor so you can get better power out of the turbo.

Wow ~460whp on a Dynojet with pump gas is SMOKIN'!! It doesn't surprise me that it looks so fast on the street

Is the PT&E 61 a ball bearing turbo or not?
