You will have a killer setup for sure. If I could go back in time I would have gone with the complete ETS setup, not that I don't like what I have, I would just like to have it all match up
I am on the stock clutch too so don't be too concerned, just have some money set aside for a clutch job somewhere in the near future

I am running the 57 trim ETS turbo kit with all of the basic mods needed to run the car hard..... I love the spoolup on the 57 trim....its almost stock like and boost hits hard and the car just screams all the way to redline . I am getting a stroker and meth ordered here in a couple of weeks and it will be installed in the early spring so i am really considering to go with the 61 trim......GO BIG OR GO HOME.................

You will not, for obvious reasons, hear the wastegate as much as you would with an open air dump, but yes you definitely do still hear it. When the turbo spools and is in boost, it screams. It sounds awesome, you will love it.

Thanks Edwin!! I'll try to make it down to Tucson again at somepoint, I can't make any promises though. Why don't you come up to Bowling Green?!

This kit is very sick for sure, everything about it. I have to give it to ETS, they really have it going on.

Yep, you are right, I am running 880s.
WOW, a friend of mine maxed out his 880's on a standard GT35R at 28 psi. When are you going to the 1000s? You said this turbo is slightly bigger than a 35R correct? Bushur did some changes and now uses 1200 on his HTA 35R, that's with race gas. How much boost do you think you'll be able to get that up to with 880s?

so am i right in thinking this 61 kit will make pretty much more or less the same numbers as ams or buschur 35r's?

to the OP, i notice your on stock block, im planning a built 2 litre in a few weeks time, plan to run meth and 30psi, this turbo would kick as on a that setup right? what do you think this will make full boost in 3rd at 30psi on pump meth?

interesting to hear your opinion buddy

I'm actually going to be injecting methanol with my setup so I will be fine with the 880's. I inject lots of methanol with two 1.0mm nozzles from Aquamist haha. I was running about 28psi on the stock turbo and wasn't even close to maximizing the duty cycle of the stock injectors, so I shouldn't have any issues running 30psi with the combination of the 880s and 2 x 1.0mm nozzles from Aquamist. I am going to stick with 30psi because I am still on the stock block. Once I build my block and want to run more boost pressure, I will look into bigger injectors if I have to.
The compressor on the turbo is .04mm smaller than that of the GT35R and, per Garrett's website, the turbine wheel diameter is 68mm, where the PT61 turbine is 70.1mm.

You are 100% correct, this turbo would kick a** on your setup That is exactly what I am going to do in the near future too. I truly believe that this setup will make as much power as the AMS and Buschur kits, yes. Per Precision's website, the turbo is rated for 630hp. In third gear and your setup you should see 30psi at no more than 5,200rpm on the street. With the built block though, you will be able to maximize the benefits of having a larger turbo. Rev it out!
