P0125

Hey.

Just installed my evo green with 680cc injectors and loaded my new e-flash and went out to do my first 3rd gear log.

Right away i got a code P0125 which means "P0125 Insufficient Coolant Temperature for Closed Loop Fuel Control"

Car is slower then my regular ix turbo. Something is wrong, tune or installation i dont know. Has anyone had this code before? Searched but nothing on the P0125.

Cheers

bump ..

somehow i feel the code and the slowness of the car is not related.

the code relates to either
1) low coolant level
2) faulty thermostat
3) faulty coolant temp sensor

Other then the code .. the car feels really SLOW, boosts 22psi, just doesnt feel like it at all. It also sputters a lot.

help me out here

Bump for some answers ..

what would be causing the sputtering and hesitation? the car pulls to 22psi just dont feel like it at all .. feels slower then stock..

the p0125 i feel is not related .. ill check my thermostat and coolant temp sensor for that.

Best way to describe it is the car feels slow, non-responsive, hesitates and i have to press the pedal more to get it moving.. along with a little sputtering and poping sounds..

the rpms also feel like the want to die most of the time..like it wants to shut off..

2 quick questions.
1) did you plug the o2 sensor back in after replacing your turbo?
2) did you damage the o2 sensor when replacing your turbo?
Whenever I see this code it almost always is paired with or closely followed
by one or more o2 sensor codes and sometimes the system too lean/or rich codes, all of which show your front o2 sensor is most likely cause..

02 sensor? i'll check into that..

but how is that related to the p0125 code? p125 relates to:
1) low coolant level
2) faulty thermostat
3) faulty coolant temp sensor

won't hurt to check to ill check on that .. thanks..

any other suggestions?

Read in BOLD letters in quote, the key words are at the end "for closed loop operation".Closed loop operation is feedback recieved from front o2 sensor to attempt to get a perfect air fuel ratio,in that case it is 14.7 as designed into program and while in "closed loop operation" the computer tries it's best to maintain that target a/f ratio based on feedback recieved from front o2 sensor, and of course the coolant temp sensor. Like I posted eariler, that code is usually triggered before or at same time as a failing front o2 sensor and sometimes with p0171 as well. Hope this helps.

Did you tuner adjust that value to a different one in your map on purpose for what ever reason or even on accident. There is a value setting for this in the ECU changeable through ECUFlash.

Check if that values differs from the stock value

Mabey one of you guys can post the correct stock value. In away from home and dont have my laptop

Sounds like a bad temperature sensor on the engine. If the sensor is reading low then the mixture will be way rich and the engine will run like you say.

Closed loop is for cruising. Anytime you punch the gas you go back to open loop. The car should run fine with a bad oxygen sensor.

You two Must work at AUTOZONE or PEP BOYS,correct?
Just blame the part that the code refers to,right? NOT!!!!!!!
The car will run fine with a bad o2 sensor as long as you drive in OPEN loop all the time
Yikez, did you figure it out yet?

ok thanks for all the suggestions .. the dealer hooked up the car to some computer that gives readings for almost anything you can think of...

all readings of all sensors showed normal readings, EXCEPT the rear O2 sensor.
They believe that either a bad connection of the front 02 sensor caused this, or the rear 02 sensor is damaged. This is because the rear 02 sensor showed '0' reading.

I'm wonderin why would the rear 02 sensor get damaged in a turbo and injector swap.

i'll give updates once they get back to me. If anyone has any more suggestions please go ahead.
