STOCK!

No reason to be changing out plugs unless you are breaking up on the stockers or running nitrous. In most cases heat range 7 is fine as long as you gap them correctly. Colder plugs are not needed with meth/alchy.

It seems many people say they aren't needed, but like many other mods, they can only help right? There is no harm in spending 40-50 bucks for a set of denso ikh24's and slapping em in right?

For 99% of us running a colder plug wont help at all.

Hell 9sec9 is making 500whp on the stock plugs and ignition.

I've had more than a few customers lose a few counts of knock by going from 7 plugs to 8's on a modded car, the colder plug pulls some heat out of the combustion chamber.

Tsurugi-san,

What gap are you running them at?

I'm curious to know also. My car is currently making 328whp on a mustang dyno. Stock IX dyno around here, 230whp give or take.

One of my friend mentioned to me that the IKH24 plugs for IX are great if the IX sees high boost like on 100 octane.

I just installed these plugs 2 days ago and had them gapped to .026 which is the stock recommended plug gap. It's a cheap layer of protection at $40-$45, I'm sure we've all spent much more money on worse things.
