Problem With A Mod

Ok this is an ongoing process and im just stumped as to how to fix it.....

I installed Injen upper and lower intercooler hard pipeing.
http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...2&cat=2&page=1

All tubes are secure with no boost leaks.

The problem im having is a dump in my power when im running the car hard and i hit 4k rpm's in third fourth or fifth gear. The car jerks foward then resumes driving but i lose a great deal of momentum.. Also this is making my check engine light come on. Also the boost is running at a peak of 20 psi, is this not good for a stock turbo.. As of right now i have no boost controller hooked up. should i hook it up and try to turn down the boost?
Im stumped and just thinking about putting the stock parts back in and giving up on them unless someone knows how to help me.....

Thanks

check that your spark plugs are gapped right. So the tubes are secure, but did you really do a boost leak test, or are you just saying that? Do you have both plastic rivets on your air intake snorkel?

Sounds like fuel cut, what other mods do you have on the car? Also you might want to get the CEL scanned so you'll know what kind of code it's throwing.

The dump in my power happens right at 4k but if i stay on the gas to about 5k rpms it will bring the boost back up around 14-17
