?'s about O-ringing head/block

Just wondering what the tolerance should be in the gaps of the actual ring ends when in the block or head?

Is there a diff if using copper vs alum.......block vs head.

We just got back a head for our 2G DSM and notice that there are gaps but some have larger gaps then others

Probably doesn't matter as the pressure applied when torquing i'm assuming will close the small gaps or am i wrong...........

Also do most people re-ring when removing a head whether it be a head ring or block ring?

Thanks
