i pick 30r for a few reasons, its slightly larger meaning your gonna have a cooler IAT, its capable of more power safer for that reason, also the 30R is cheaper, ive seen them sell for as little as $1150!! and if you want more power down the road you can trade with someone who has a 35r across the board, i have a few friends who have done this already.

it DOES require a kit to go on the car. Get back to us when you've figured out how much more that will cost...

The Green simply works! On the OKIX car it makes 445whp/513wtq, is driven on the street every day, ran 4 consecutive passes of 10.8 or 10.9 and I'm very certain that when we can get back to the track, it will make a 10.5 or better pass. The stats speak for themselves.

Still you are talking about basically a fully set-up car and the green past maxed out. Like we keep saying the green is great, but these are not apples to apples conparisons!! Turbo to turbo completely maxed out the green would get beat!

Zeller, I understand what you're saying. At the same time, OKIX and I are just like every other person with Evo's. We buy every part ourselves, tune the car ourselves and are no different than anyone else is. We just chose to push the turbo to it's limit. My point is, I continue to hear about how the 30 WOULD make more power if SOMEONE chose to do it. So far, no one is choosing to do it. Rather than just make an assumption about it, it's time to see it done. The Green is now proven, either by our time and money, or by someone else. I feel 100% that the GT3076 COULD make more power, but when is someone going to step up to the plate and do it. I'm not talking about Dynojet numbers at a peak point, then not backed up on the track. 445whp on a Mustang ran 10.87. Lets see a GT3071 or even GT3076 do this. Name me one that's run 10's. I can't think of one, YET. I hope to see one, maybe even us. I've always said, I don't care what it is, as long as it performs. I think the GT3076 is a nice 1 step up from the Green, but no one seems to be doing it. Who's running 10's with a GT30? Forget the choice of fuel, boost, yada, yada, yada. Just do it. No excuses.

CBRD, what are you doing, turbo-wise? We're still trying to decide our next step. We may even drop back to the stocker, just to see what we could run on the stock IX turbo. Then upgrade to something else. Just trying to see what options are out there. The GT3076 is at least an option, but I'd like to see it's performance first. We may have to be the ones to push it if no one else has by then. I've used Garret turbos before and love the spool-up and quality. Not sure if FP is coming out with something soon, but streetability is important to OKIX.

Zeller, by the way, in what way would the Green get beaten? ET wise? PEAK whp wise, but slower spoolup, meaning lower avg power, but higher peak? The GT3076 isn't new, neither is the 3071, but I still can't find one out performing the Green, wonder why?

Well see the thing is yes the GT3076 is a step up from the Green...how big well not huge. On pump gas the GT3076 will easily be over 400whp with the right supporting mods and cams. Race gas 500whp is doable. Most from what I have read and reviewed is you will post about 20-30whp more on pump and about 40-60whp more maxed out on race gas. Of course you will add about 500rpm spool and less torque but one thing to remember the GT3076 will hold its powerband much longer. I have seen similiar dynocharts of similiar mods and a GT3076 made almost 80whp more at 8000rpm versus the Green. The reason you dont see whole bunch of people using this turbo is beyond me but everybody goes to either the green or jumps to a GT35. Most people choose the Green because its bolt on and makes good numbers on pump....the only other comparable turbo is a 50trim and that still cost $3500 or more for marginally any increase on pump. Too me I believe for a stock engined Evo that doesn't rev past 7800 the GT3076 is probably the best *kit turbo* for all around. Basically if you can hit 10.8's with the green a GT3076 would be likely to hit 10.2-4's. Too me a GT3076 to a FPGreen is about what a stock IX turbo is to a Green. Bang for the buck nothing is going to beat the Green plain and simple...unless a FPRed comes out that is
