EVO Green vs GT3071R

Right looking at fitting a turbo, just unsure what!! Looking for a fast road car which has pushed me towards the Green, but still unsure if I should go with the GT30 instead?
What would you guys say?? Also whats the best GT30R kit out there???

the two turbos are extremely close in size and performance. the FP green outperforms though and is cheaper.

I don't think the evo green can do 500bhp/500tq... correct me if I'm wrong.

The Green has made over 400whp multiple times... even 450whp... which is easily 500bhp.

+1. FP Green outperforms the 3071 all around -- faster spool, lower cost, more top-end power.

But don't you need meth or alky to obtain 400whp+ with the green. The AMS 30R can give you 400whp+ on 93 pump gas alone and allows way more hp with meth/alky and potential 500whp+ on race gas. (whatever that is in bhp)

Keep in mind he asked what is the best 30R kit. Hard question to answer, but I've been talking to AMS. AMS is one of the best and I'm considering AMS 30R kit.

There is no AMS 3071 kit available, but AMS does sell the Green. If you are talking about the 3076, then that's a different turbo then what the OP asked about.

Good call. I thought the last part of his question was asking about any 30R. I skipped over the "GT" part of the discription. AMS is 3076. In-light of paying attention, I would go Green as well.

The green is a hands down better choice for what you are looking for. You don't have to deal with reworking downpipes or external wastegates. You can fit the green under your stock heatshield, it looks pretty much stock. You said it would only be a road car, so you will see pump gas most of the time anyway, why give up spool for a bit of extra horsepower?

The two would perform very similar, while the Green would spool faster and is relatively cheaper. I always say FP Green, FP3065 (which i'm running), and 35R in order from small to large. It def. depends on your use of the car & power goals. Some ppl get the Green & later decide they want to go bigger....while others go big & decide the lag isn't that bad

I made 400 whp on 93 oct @ 22 psi with the Green on a fairly conservative tune. My tuner said he thinks we could easily get 460-475 whp on a race fuel map @ 28 psi. As a comparison, my friends dedicated track Evo (full ROBISPEC, 2600 lbs, GT35R, Cosworth head, etc, etc.) only made 510 whp on C16 @ 28 psi. I was making 100 whp more than him from 4000-5500 rpms, I was hitting full boost @ 3800 rpms, whereas he was making it @ 4800 rpms. His car is fast, but mine is quicker.
Keep in mind what your intended usage is, I drive mine on the street & road course, and my favorite Dragon, Deals Gap.
FWIW,
I just recently had my tranny re-built using 5th gear out of an MR(double synchs, etc.) all I can say is wow! The combo of the Green and a very usable 5th gear that acts as an additional gear, rather than a cruising gear is amazing!

we have 99 oct pump fuel in uk. Looks like the Green then. I have just recived a Mynes Exhaust manifold today, so should work well with the green.
