From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Please search and read - this has been covered 10^23rd.

Do not VTA - period (unless you go to a MAP setup).

Get a cone filter. You do not need a new BOV, the IX metal one is great as is. "Problem" solved.

this is true, since the car is MAF equipped, any venting you do to the atmosphere is going to make the car run poorly. You'll need an ECU upgrade as well as convert the car to speed/density instead of MAF.

if you want to hear the swoosh sound just upgrade your intake. Keep you metal IX BOV its the best BOV on the marke imo

As far as I know, the IX stcck BOV will work on the VIII,...I am running a turbosmart dual port BOV that I salvaged from my VIII and mounted on my IX with no issues at all. I am also running 21 lbs solid on this BOV without a hitch. For what it is worth, the shop evo (Corey's) at atlantic motor sports in Gaithersburg was running this same BOV at somthing like 27+pounds with no issues, leaking, etc. If you want the swoosh, just get a dual port and be done with it. I have not noticed any driveablility issues with the aftermarker BOV, aside from an occasional lag into first gear when peddling the gas and clutch (will need more gas, higher rev to maintain itself. Good luck....

how is your bov adjusted?Because i installed the same one and it dosent hold boost correctly. I'm supposed to be spikeing at 22-and holding 19psi. Only in 5th gear from about 70mph just accerating slowly, then it will hold 19.But not in any other gear. Ive seached all over and have found nothing.Someone please help.
