Are the speed sensors the same on the 5spd evo 8 and the 6spd evo 8 or do all the speed sensors vary with different transmissions?

mitsu parts question. Call the dealer. I just had to swap mine out, speedometer just worked when it wanted to instead of when the car started rolling.

+1 id just call the dealer. i might be able to find out tomorrow for you. my buddy has worked on mitsubishis for over 12 years and has had some sick rides all dsms and evos so im sure he could tell me the answer to that question

 

So far the only thing that is different between the 5spd and the 6spd is the reverse sensor!

 

yeah i'm probably gonna have to call the dealer. Mine just isnt working all together

 

Any updates on the sensor

 

have a new one comin in this week. i unplugged the sensor and removed it from the trans and it looked fine. hopefully the new one will make it work
