and you, razorlab, have this with adapter built in....and round top

something wrong?

i can see no difference if the new filter was like razorlab's...thats different than whats on buschur's site.
i've heard different maf adapters CAN make the maf read differently. therefore, built in adapters and separate adapters will make the maf read differently.
this is why mad scalings for a certain filter will not work with a different filter with a different maf adapter.
The adapter is just a little add on for the way it fits on the MAF box, but I'm more then sure it all works and fits the same!

The bowled or trumpet shape on the new ones should act like a velocity stack. That's one thing the old ones don't have.

Interesting BR used to have a photo of the BR filter I posted. I wonder if they changed it yet again.

I know the reddish filters are hard to come by now. Hopefully the manufacturer didn't stop production as they where great low-cost (way cheaper than what BR sells them for) filters that don't mess up the MAF readings.

yes, the reddish ones will also compliment color with the stock color valve cover.

i do wonder though if BR has changed back to the flat top then. i think i would much rather have a round top velocity stack filter...

hmmm..i might just have to buy the new BR filter and then find and buy a used BR filter with the velocity stack also. its really interesting to me. i'll have to find a way to test.

don't worry, as long as you don't get a MAF adapter and it still bolts onto the filter itself then you are ok.

MAF stability the exact same between the two? The adapters don't seem like they're significantly different, fitting wise.

This is the current Buschur filter kit; I just received mine in the mail last week. I also have the older red style sitting here. My car runs fine with both, swapping them makes no noticeable difference.

i have the gray colored rounded end one myself... i dont believe they are non-oiled, as i started to notice some fine dirt starting to get past the filter. i cleaned and lightly oiled, so far so good but havent had a chance to put alot of mileage since then.

Mine smelled like band-aids when I got it. I'm not sure what that means. I like the grey with the velocity stack. It's what I have. Out of the three the grey looks the best. When comparing the three, looks are probably the only differance...

I also have the newest filter Buschur advertises. I did some research and it looks very similiar to the one vibrant sells (which is where the maf adapter comes from). So I assume the filter is a Vibrant also but I would be wrong.

The fitment of the new filter isn't quite as good. The metal cap on the filter hits one of the bolts holding the ACD tank to the bracket. I will note though that I hear more noise from the turbo and BOV now with the new-style filter.
