I got about 1500 miles on my evo and am about to take my car into the dealer for its first oil change. I did not got the pit pass crap, seems like it costs too much, im going to do the rest of the oil changes myself. I got a free oil change coupon when i picked my car up and want to use it.

Well, Im asking about what i should have the tech check for? I broke the car in and have done a couple launches, I haven't gotin it down perfect yet bit im getin better, I've ran the car a couple times, and it grinds sometimes when i put it into 5th gear. I'm just worried about some of the lil porters takin my car out for a joy ride, It will be the first evo this dealership has serviced, cause it was the first and only one they have ever sold.

Any feedback would be great.

write down the odometer mileage when you drop the car off..ensure they change the little crush washer on the drain plug, look for anything "funky" in the oil I guess..but our cars burn the mobil 1 up a bit..its pretty damn black when you change it..I cant imagine you would see much of anything in there...strain it if you are really paranoid maybe?

YEAH that is what dealerships do they tell their porters to joyride in customer cars. Don't you think you would notice it leaving the bldg when you are sitting their for a half hour waiting for the oil change to be taken care of?

 

I'd drop off the car in the morning, have them do the oil change, check out that 5th gear grind and inspect everything i can think off. And i will go to work and come pick it up after work. I'm not gonna be able to sit there and babysit her. I don't trust alot of those grease monkeys, esspecially the porters, I USED TO BE ONE! I've seen some bad **** happen and the dealership would just cover it up.
