Huge Problem With Bov!!! Help

I just bought a Greddy Type-RS evo Specific BOV. Thing is, If I want it to blow off, I have to take it out of the Re-Cric tube...no biggie right? Wrong, My car wont even Idle, It starts then shuts off. Tried plugging it, I was driving, mid turn wheel locks up and car shuts off. danger I know. So then I put it in the recirc, Drives fine, but if im in like higher rpms, then just press in my clutch to coast, RPM's DROP WAY LOW and sometimes shuts my car off. PLEASE HELP. I want it to blow off, I dont want it as a Re-circ.

getting an aftermarket blowoff valve is among the dumbest things you could do to your car.

if you must get a different bov, go with the jdm mitsu one or the nicer MR one.

aside from what everybody said above, and what EVERYONE else has said/done/proven/tested for the last 3 or so years, if your car is responding horribly to that BOV, get rid of it and dont rely on a band-aid like fix. unfortunately, not all cars respond well to VTA. Some do, MOST dont for whatever reason. My car luckily responds well to both. Better when recirculated of course.

Why not get a cone filter for your car and put the stock one back, there's also a Classifide section here just so you can sell that GReddy. I think the stock MR BOV is plenty loud with a cone filter, those stupid VTA BOVs get pretty damn annoying if you drive the car everyday.

my car runs 10x better now that i have jdm ix mr bov on instead of my greddy type rs. sell it, get a jdm ix mr bov and call it a day. sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and as far as i know, no one on this forum is going to recommend an aftermarket bov to start off with. doubt you'll find a way to make it run right either (mine never did, high idle etc...) good luck, hopefully you figure it out

You're better off selling that BOV. It doesn't add any power, and isn't beneficial to your car unless you've got a ton of mods. As others have said, you would've been better off with a new filter/intake if you just wanted the sound while not sacrificing drivability.

I wouldn't advise that......If you get 7 posts in the next 5 minutes, I'm going to be really mad.
