Anybody have this PPG gearbox on their evo?

i am interested in getting one b/c there is a scubby down here in S.FL that keeps schooling everybody cuz he has longer gears than us evos

 

Get a bigger turbo and his gears wont matter.

 

Damn that scubby! He's fast lol

 

Im sure the car makes a good amount of HP, its probally not because of the trans

And dogboxes arent really for daily driving

 

Why not ask that Scubby to attend an autox and see how he does!

 

subys only get the ppg gearbox if they don't have the sti 6 speed. wrx owners get the ppg dox box if they are pushing to much horsepower because they have glass trannys. Its not the gears thats raping you, its the power of the car.

 

TRE has a stage 3 transmision with their final drive wich puts 5th gear 7500 rpms @ 210mph.

OK is ppg a dog box transmission for the Evo 9 6 speed that u can use as an alternative if u want beef up that tranny or is it an upgrade not a dog box?

They make 2 gearsets: straight Dog or Group N. It doesnt look to be an entire transmission rebuild, just the gearsets.
