I'm running a 2.3ltr with a HTA35R and love it. You can drive it like a regular person drives. The car has incredible street manners. But if you have the ich for some thrust, the combo I have will give it to you on pump gas with no issues. Spool to 20 psi is great. Hell spool to 40psi is great. I really don't think you can go wrong with a 2.3ltr/35r combo. Enough to smack down 85% of the people you run into on the street. Still able to autocross, and drag race it. All rolled into one.

2.0 does give you the RPM you may want, but since I'm not a big big HP guy, I never miss 10,000 rpm. GO FOR IT

I had an AMS 2.3L combined with a AMS GT37R, it packed one hell of a punch and made it an easy bike hunter Daily driving for the little while I had it was absolutely perfect, spool was great, and plenty of torque.

I now await my 2.0L from AMS to go with the same AMS GT37R turbo kit. I am not a lag whiner as I have driven a 2.0 with a 37R and the rpms allow for so much fun as well. Either way you go you really cant go wrong. Just think about what you want to do with the car though. I want big top end for street/highway and drag off and on as before I was pure street and maybe a drag run or two which I unfortunately never got to do.

I also got the itch for possibly a 42R now

^^ so are you saying for highway/drag runs....a built 2.0 is better?
all my runs that i do are between 40~50 mph to about 170mph...
i want something thats a Z06 killer between me and you..coz i hate it how those guys look down at us evo owners here in dubai

keep in mind i want something to run on pump..i have a couple of good tuners too.. am really confused...
*2.0 + 3065
*2.3 + 3065
*2.0 + HTA35
*2.3 + HTA35

I would go with a built 2.0l with HTA35R
check out this link:-
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ghlight=HTA35R

you can do the BR stage 3 2.0l by just a drop in pistons and rods.

Also MellonTuning is planing on get the HTA35R from buschur and tune it on a stock block, can't wait to see the results

Wanting to be a z06 hunter and having running a new one with spray and a cam I would have done better with more RPM's. Buschur has shown what a HTA35R and a 2.0 can do a few times. If your looking to auto-x the car I would definitely lean to the 2.3 but if your looking for a vette killer, a 2.0 in my opinion would make things nicely matched for the top end needed.

Unfortunately not many. I had a bearing problem which took the engine down before I even got 2000 miles on the engine. After research it was found something was wrong with the bearing and had nothing to do with the build, tune, or any other failure. Sometimes stuff happens

Perfect example of what a 2.0 can do when setup properly.
