HID Headlight Height Adjustment

I have found, like many others, that the HID low beam headlights on my EVO are quite low even on the highest setting; they are so easy to overrun on a dark road. Just curious, has anyone had the dealer adjust the HID headlights higher? If so, are you now satisfied with the projection of the low beams?

Hi,

This has been discussed and a search will bring up numerous threads. I do not believe anyone was able to raise the position of the lights. And if you did, you need to be prepared for on-coming cars flashing their brights at you. The HIDs have a very narrow field and if you adjust them higher, every little hill on road will blind on coming cars as your front end rises and the HIDs shine brightly!

Oh yeah, by the way we are talking about the HID low beams, not the high beams that you can adjust with a torx driver.

Do I remove the motor driven gear and then twist the headlight mounted gear, then reattach?

If you look at the gear on the car (shown in the picture above) you will see that it is 2 sided. On the inside there is a hole in which you can stick a screw driver or maybe a T25 torx and turn the gear to adjust.
